HireSeptic™ is a directory and lead broker. We help homeowners request septic quotes and, when available, match them with local septic professionals. We do not pump, inspect, haul, or certify septic systems.
Who we are
HireSeptic operates hireseptic.com as an online directory and quote-matching service. When you submit a quote request, we may share your details with matched local septic professionals so they can respond — only after you provide the required consent on the form.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Quote request details — name, email, phone, ZIP or county, service of interest, and optional reminder preference
- Consent records — that you agreed to be contacted, the disclosure text shown, and related timestamps or page context
- Technical data — such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited, used for security, reliability, and basic analytics
- Communications — messages you send us (for example, privacy or Do Not Sell requests)
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Respond to quote requests and match you with local septic professionals when available
- Send optional pump reminders only if you opt in
- Operate, secure, and improve the site
- Comply with law and honor privacy choices (including Do Not Sell / Share requests)
How we share it
When you submit a quote request and check the required consent box, HireSeptic and matched local septic professionals may use your contact details to follow up about your request. We also use service providers that help us host the site, process forms, send communications, or provide analytics — under appropriate agreements. We do not sell personal information for unrelated advertising. Under some state laws, sharing quote details with matched professionals to fulfill your request may be considered a “sale” or “share”; see our Do Not Sell or Share page for how to opt out.
Retention
After we transfer a quote request to a matched professional, we may keep your contact details for up to 14 days so we can follow up with that professional about contacting you. We then remove name, email, phone, and similar identifiers from our active records, while retaining a limited audit record (such as lead id, dates, ZIP, service type, consent timestamp, and payment status when applicable) as needed for operations and legal compliance.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use care when sharing sensitive details online.
Children
HireSeptic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
